This Privacy Policy explains how FundiHub handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, build a professional profile, post or respond to jobs, request quotations, make bookings, send messages, make payments, advertise, sponsor activities or otherwise use FundiHub.
1. Information we collect
Account information may include your name, email address, telephone number, password credentials in protected form, account role and account status.
Artisan profile information may include specialty, experience, biography, service area, city, county, availability, portfolio photographs, qualifications, certificates and verification information.
Marketplace activity may include jobs, quotations, bookings, reviews, connections, messages, notifications and other interactions with users.
Transaction information may include amounts, currency, payment provider, payment references, transaction status and reconciliation information. FundiHub should not store full card credentials or mobile-money PINs.
Technical information may include IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, security logs, cookie/session identifiers and information needed to operate and protect the service.
If location features are enabled and you choose to provide location information, FundiHub may process approximate or precise location information for nearby-artisan discovery or service-area functionality.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and administer accounts; display professional profiles; match customers with artisans; operate jobs, quotations and bookings; deliver messages and notifications; process and reconcile payments; provide advertising or sponsorship services; prevent abuse and fraud; secure the platform; provide support; comply with legal obligations; and improve FundiHub.
Where required by applicable law, FundiHub will rely on an appropriate legal basis such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent or compliance with legal obligations.
3. Public profiles and marketplace visibility
Information you choose to place on a public artisan profile may be visible to customers and other visitors. This may include your professional name, photograph, specialty, experience, portfolio, general service area, reviews and verification indicators.
Do not publish sensitive personal information, passwords, PINs, one-time codes, private identification numbers or information that is unnecessary for customers to evaluate your services.
Profile visibility controls may be provided. Some information must remain available internally for account administration, security, legal compliance or transaction records even when a public profile is hidden.
4. Identity, credential and account verification
FundiHub may process information needed to verify email addresses, telephone numbers, identities, professional credentials or other trust signals.
Verification information is used to reduce fraud and improve marketplace trust. Access should be limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need it for verification, security or legal purposes.
A FundiHub verification indicator describes the verification checks completed by the platform; it does not guarantee a user’s conduct or quality of work.
5. Payments
Payments may be handled by third-party payment providers, including mobile-money, card or other payment services made available through FundiHub. Those providers may collect information directly under their own privacy policies.
FundiHub may retain transaction identifiers, provider references, payment status, amount, currency, timestamps and related records necessary for reconciliation, customer support, fraud prevention, accounting and legal compliance.
Never submit your mobile-money PIN, card PIN, password or one-time verification code in a FundiHub profile, job description, message or review.
6. Cookies, sessions and similar technologies
FundiHub uses essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences such as language, support security controls and keep the service functioning.
Where non-essential analytics, advertising or personalization technologies require consent under applicable law, FundiHub should provide the required notice and consent choices before activating them.
7. When information may be shared
Information may be shared with another user when necessary for a feature you request, such as displaying a public profile, exchanging a quotation, arranging a booking or communicating about a job.
FundiHub may use service providers for hosting, email, messaging, identity verification, payments, security, analytics or infrastructure. Providers should receive only information reasonably necessary to perform their services and be subject to appropriate safeguards.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, valid legal process, protection of rights or safety, investigation of fraud or abuse, or a legitimate corporate transaction subject to applicable safeguards.
FundiHub does not treat advertisers or sponsors as entitled to unrestricted access to users’ private account information merely because they purchase advertising or sponsorship.
8. Advertising and sponsorship
FundiHub may display sponsored listings, classified advertisements and corporate sponsorships. The platform may record impressions, clicks and campaign-performance information.
If advertising personalization based on personal information is introduced, FundiHub should provide disclosures and choices required by applicable law.
9. Data retention
FundiHub retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, transactions, dispute handling, security, fraud prevention, accounting and legal obligations.
Retention periods may differ by data category. When information is no longer required, FundiHub should delete, anonymize or securely archive it as appropriate, subject to legal and operational requirements.
10. Security
FundiHub uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These may include access controls, secure password hashing, encrypted connections, validation, logging and restricted administrative access.
No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should use strong unique passwords, protect verification codes and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent concerning certain personal information.
Some requests may be limited where FundiHub must retain information for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting or the rights of others.
Account and communication preference controls may also be available directly through FundiHub.
12. Children
FundiHub is designed primarily for people legally able to participate in marketplace transactions. The platform should not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances prohibited by applicable law.
If FundiHub introduces services specifically for minors, appropriate parental or guardian consent and additional safeguards should be implemented where required.
13. International processing
FundiHub, its infrastructure or service providers may process information in more than one country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, FundiHub should implement an appropriate transfer mechanism.
14. Third-party websites and services
FundiHub may contain links to or integrations with payment providers, messaging platforms, maps, social networks or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
FundiHub may update this Policy as the platform, technology, business model or law changes. The current version will display an updated effective or last-updated date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required.
16. Contact and privacy requests
Questions, privacy requests and concerns may be submitted through FundiHub’s Contact page.
Before commercial launch, FundiHub should publish the legal name of the entity responsible for personal information, its business address, an official privacy contact email and any data-protection contact details required by applicable law.
